The Royal Liver Building 360 Tour has launched a new interactive exhibition within its Visitor Centre, strengthening its appeal as a year-round, all-weather attraction for individual travellers, groups and educational visits to Liverpool

The exhibition uses the latest digital technology, including a projection-mapped clock face and immersive video wall, to interpret the story of one of the UK’s most recognisable Grade I listed buildings. Designed to complement the existing tower tour, the experience provides engaging context before or after a visit — or as a standalone attraction.

Content is delivered through five short films, each focusing on a key theme: the building’s iconic clocks, the Liver Birds, the Royal Liver Friendly Society, the construction of the building, and landmark moments in the city’s recent history, such as Eurovision 2023 and the River of Light festival. The modular format makes the exhibition well suited to a wide range of visitor dwell times.

An additional film featuring aerial drone footage shot by Liverpool-based operator Stratus Imagery showcases panoramic views from the top of the Royal Liver Building. This element enhances accessibility, allowing visitors who are unable to complete the tower ascent to still enjoy the highlight views — an important consideration for mixed-ability groups and inclusive itineraries.

Located on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront and close to major attractions, the enhanced Visitor Centre reinforces Royal Liver Building 360 as a key cultural stop for domestic and international educational tourism.
