Tell us about your role, your journey to this position, and how your work contributes to your organisation’s success
As Marketing Manager at My Oxbridge Education, I am responsible for planning and delivering marketing strategies that promote our tailored immersion courses, educational and cultural tours. This includes managing digital campaigns, developing content, and ensuring our messaging clearly communicates the value of our programmes to prospective students
and partners.
My journey to this role has involved building practical marketing experience and developing strong communication and organisational skills. Over time, I have taken on greater responsibility in campaign planning and brand development, which has enabled me to contribute more strategically to the organisation.
My work supports the organisation’s success by increasing brand awareness, attracting new participants, and strengthening relationships with partners. Through effective marketing, I help position My Oxbridge Education as a provider of high-quality, personalised educational experiences.
What has been the most rewarding experience or achievement in your career so far?
One of the most rewarding experiences in my career has been seeing the direct impact of my marketing work at My Oxbridge Education. It has been very satisfying to develop campaigns that lead to real enquiries and interest in our tailored immersion courses and educational tours.
I find it particularly rewarding knowing that my work helps students access valuable educational and cultural experiences, and contributes to the continued growth of the organisation.
If you weren’t working in this industry, what other profession might you have pursued, and why?
If I weren’t working in this industry, I would most likely have pursued a career in law, as it was a subject I studied at college and strongly considered as a profession. I was particularly drawn to the analytical and problem-solving aspects of law, as well as the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through the work.
I also enjoyed photography, and while I chose a different career path, photography remains an important hobby for me. It allows me to stay creative and provides a good balance alongside my professional work.
What exciting projects, goals, or plans does your organisation have in the next 12–18 months?
Over the next 12–18 months, My Oxbridge Education plans to expand its tailored immersion courses and develop new educational and cultural tour programmes. We are also focused on growing our international reach and strengthening partnerships with schools and our business partners
As a member of BETA, what have you found most valuable, and how has it supported your business growth?
As a member of BETA, the most valuable aspect has been the networking opportunities and industry insight. Being part of BETA has helped us build relationships with trusted partners and stay informed about developments in the educational travel sector.
This support has contributed to our business growth by increasing our visibility within the industry and helping us form partnerships that strengthen and expand our programmes.
In your view, what are the biggest challenges, threats, and opportunities facing youth, student, and educational travel in the coming years, and how is your business preparing to meet them?
The youth and educational travel sector faces several challenges but also strong opportunities for growth in the coming years.
One of the biggest challenges is rising costs and economic uncertainty, which can make educational travel less accessible for students and schools. Another ongoing challenge is visas, travel regulations, and safety concerns, which can create uncertainty and make planning international programmes more complex.
At the same time, there are significant opportunities. Demand for meaningful cultural and educational experiences remains strong, and the sector is continuing to grow as more students seek immersive learning opportunities.
Our business is preparing by focusing on flexible, high-quality programmes and strong partnerships with schools and international organisations. We are also investing in digital marketing and clear communication to reach new audiences and demonstrate the value of educational travel experiences.
