At PGL Beyond, we are evolving into something bigger and even more impactful. A business that’s safer, more inclusive, more sustainable, and more ambitious to make a difference than ever before. In the next decade, that means forging new partnerships, expanding access, and driving positive change across our sector – collaborating with other changemakers to remove barriers so that no young person is left behind.
Last month, we were delighted to launch our Impact Report at an event hosted by Andy MacNae MP, Chair of the APPG for Outdoor Recreation and Access to Nature at the Houses of Parliament, with many highly engaged stakeholders in attendance. The report was introduced with The Purpose Coalition and Rt Hon. Justine Greening, who are collectively bringing together like-minded organisations that have one goal in mind – dismantling the barriers to opportunity.
Details within the report highlight how PGL Beyond supports nearly 500,000 young people each year, delivering 290,000 outdoor activity sessions and 3,800 study tours designed to build confidence, resilience and essential life skills. Through initiatives such as the Breakthrough Fund, the organisation has provided £2.2 million in financial support, enabling over 17,000 pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to access life‑changing residential experiences.
In partnership with The Purpose Coalition, the report is framed against the UK’s 15 Purpose Goals, demonstrating how place-based partnerships and intentional design can help break down barriers to opportunity and support social mobility.
“Every decision we make at PGL Beyond is driven by purpose, and a belief that every young person deserves equal opportunities. We’ve all seen the impact our experiences have, and we’re determined to extend those life-changing benefits to as many young people as possible.” Anthony Jones, CEO, PGL Beyond
