What’s your go-to productivity hack?
Having a good cup of coffee by my side and breaking down the day into different slots
and tasks. During peak programme periods it’s also key to do sport or go for a walk
during the day to keep being productive!
Describe your role in three words
If I were to put this in very simple words, we could say “I organise programmes” –
sounds very easy right?
What’s one app or tool you can’t live without?
My calendar, everything needs to be written there.
Tell us about your role, your journey to this position, and how your work contributes to your organisation’s success
I work as a Programme Manager for the EFL Division at Oxford International, where I oversee the planning and delivery of international study programmes across our residential centres. My role bridges operations and external partners to ensure we deliver the best student experience.
I started with the organisation as an Activity Leader in spring 2015 and joined head office shortly after as Operations Assistant and as Operations Coordinator before stepping into my current role. This journey has given me a deep understanding of programme logistics, client expectations, and operational challenges at every level.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received, and how has it influenced your approach to work?
“Focus on solutions, not problems.”
This has shaped my approach to operations, where challenges are inevitable, as much as we prepare and plan in advance. Staying solution-oriented helps me remain calm, make decisions quickly, and support the team effectively, especially during high-pressure periods.
If you weren’t working in this industry, what other profession might you have pursued, and why?
I would likely have pursued a career in translation or sports (quite different but both my passions). I’ve always played and continue to play sports during my free time. Likewise I always enjoyed learning new languages and learning about different cultures, I find all the differences fascinating!
What exciting projects, goals, or plans does your organisation have in the next 12–18 months?
We’re focused on expanding programme offerings, strengthening partnerships with schools and universities, and enhancing the overall student experience. There’s also an emphasis on improving operational efficiency and exploring new markets to support continued growth.
