Entry Tips
What Judges are looking for
Strong entries clearly explain what was delivered, why it matters to youth, student and educational travel, and the impact achieved. Include evidence, results and examples wherever possible.
To help you prepare your submission, we have created new entry planning guides for each award category. These guides outline what to consider before you start writing and can help you shape a clearer, stronger entry.

A strong awards entry is clear, focused and evidence-led. Judges are looking for submissions that explain what was delivered, why it matters, and the impact achieved.
Before you start your entry, keep these key tips in mind:
Read the questions carefully
Make sure your answers respond directly to the category criteria and stay focused throughout.
Communicate clearly
Use concise, easy-to-follow copy. Avoid jargon, inflated claims and unexplained acronyms.
Make the form do the work
Your written answers should be the main focus. Use links and supporting files only where they strengthen your entry.
Keep within the word count, upload limits and required file formats, and submit before the deadline.
Include evidence
Use relevant facts, figures, feedback, testimonials or examples to support your claims.
Leave enough time
Entries often take longer than expected, especially if you need input, sign-off or client approval
Top Tips
- Consider entering categories you think might attract fewer entrants to give yourself a higher chance of success
- You can give yourself a decent chance of being shortlisted/winning by entering more than one relevant category
- Proofread before submitting. A polished, well-checked entry helps judges focus on the strength of your submission.
- Enter before the deadline: 24th September at 5pm (UK time)
