PGL Beyond receives 2026 Princess Royal Training Award

PGL Beyond has been recognised with a 2026 Princess Royal Training Award for its commitment to excellence in learning and development. 

The Princess Royal Training Awards, delivered by the City and Guilds Foundation and supported by HRH The Princess Royal, recognise organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to developing their people and delivering measurable business benefits through skills and training. 

PGL Beyond is one of just 56 organisations selected from 132 applications across the UK to receive the Award in 2026, following a rigorous, evidence-based assessment process.  

The Award recognises the success of PGL's Activity Instructor Group Leader (AIGL) Core Foundation Programme, an enhanced onboarding initiative launched in 2024. The programme combines five days of core skills training with standardised assessment and feedback, helping new instructors develop the knowledge, confidence, and capability required for their roles. Since its introduction, more than 1,500 AIGLs have completed the programme.
